CHOCOLATE RECIPES
Sneaky Snackers'
Decadent Chocolate Squares
1c. Crushed Nabiscos
vanilla wafers, about 20 to 24
2/3 butter, softened
1 1/3 c. confectioners sugar
2 egg yolks
1 1/3 c. chocolate morsels, melted
2/3 c. walnuts, chopped
1 tsp. vanilla extract
2 egg whites, beaten stiff
Put half the
vanilla wafer crumbs in the bottom of a 8 x 8-inch pan. Cream
butter and sugar in a mixing bowl. Stir in egg yolks, melted
chocolate morsels, walnuts and vanilla extract. Beat egg whites
until stiff peaks form. Fold in egg whites into batter. Pour
batter over wafer crumbs. Smooth out batter. Sprinkle remaining
wafer crumbs on top. Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.
Remove from refrigerator and let sit for 5 to 10 minutes. Remove
and cut into serving size squares. Top with fresh whip cream
if desired.
